Lucy joined the Relish team as an Events Assistant in March 2019 on a temporary contract – quickly she was asked to stay permanently. With plans to go travelling over the summer, Lucy took two months leave to explore Japan, Bali and Australia; returning to Relish in September.
Lucy grew up wanting to be a PE teacher with her first job being a Gymnastics Coach. She went on to study Biological Science at the University of Exeter and loves to share her interest and knowledge of Biology with the team! After completing her degree, she worked in fashion as an Allocator for Oasis. She soon decided to dive into the world of events with us and fell in love with the creativity and excitement of the industry. Being a key member of the team, she has worked at a variety of our events and her favourite venue so far is the QEII, not only because the staff are incredible but more importantly, so is the catering!
During her childhood, Lucy spent her spare time doing gymnastics and cheerleading but now regularly takes part in yoga, tennis and Vitality’s Saturday morning parkrun. One of Lucy’s big personal achievements is overcoming her fear of heights to climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge while travelling.
At Relish we believe a work-life, balance is very important and it means something different to everyone. To Lucy it means
“Liking the work you do and the team you work with as it allows you to enjoy every day. Balance to me means variety which is why I do a range of sporting and social activities; whether it’s meeting with friends, visiting the grandparents or going on a date, the variety is key.“
Lucy is the person the team look to for insight into science, politics and travelling inspiration. With her varied experience and bubbly personality, she brings a lot to the Relish team and our creative event planning.
