Millie became part of the Relish Team almost 3 years ago and has progressed from Event Assistant to Senior Event Manager, leading a team of 3 people.
Growing up, Millie had dreams of being a Vet but that soon changed when she started her first job washing cars for the neighbours. After realising she was a bit of a control freak (her own words) she decided managing events would be the career for her, so she went on to study International Event Management at the University of Brighton where she learnt all of her initial knowledge about the wonderful world of events. While studying, Millie wanted to increase her knowledge and experience within the events industry and began working as a wedding coordinator for a wedding venue. Soon after completing her degree, she went on to work for Etc Venues as an Event Coordinator which she enjoyed but decided to try working for an agency, which is when she got introduced to Relish Events! Working within the events industry over the last 4 years, Millie has worked at many venues but her favourite would be the QEII because of the amazing food. Like everyone at Relish, Millie loves food!
Outside of work, bottomless brunching, dog walking and shopping take up most of Millie’s time. If you need any tips on where to go in London for a great bottomless brunch, Millie is the one to ask! Being a keen runner and charity supporter, she has completed 10 half marathons and 2 full marathons in support of charities which she considers as her biggest personal achievements.
At Relish we believe a work-life, balance is very important and it means something different to everyone. To Millie it means:
“How am I stressing and not giving a shit at the same time?”
So basically, don’t let your work take over your life.
Millie is the member of the team that people go to for tips on the best places to go out on the weekend, a funny pep talk when feeling stressed and advice on how to manage an evening dinner for 1200 people. With her extensive knowledge of the events industry and great sense of humour, Millie is a great asset to the Relish Team.
